Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

 Meditation

Everything we say, do, and become flows out of the heart, like water from a spring. A spring that is polluted at its source will poison everything downstream, so God calls us to guard it with diligence. Guarding the heart means watching what we allow in through what we see, hear, and dwell on each day. Fill it instead with the Word of God, with gratitude, and with honest prayer. When the heart is kept pure, the life that flows from it becomes a blessing to everyone around us.

 Declaration

Heavenly Father, I give You my heart today. Help me to guard it with diligence and to keep out whatever dishonors You. Fill it with Your truth, Your love, and Your peace, so that my words and actions may reflect You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
